Common questions
What happens if the network drops while a teacher is marking?
The app keeps the marks on the device and sends them when the signal comes back. The teacher is not asked to do anything, and nothing is lost if the phone is closed in between.
Can we keep the biometric machines we already have?
We look at the model during the demo and connect it wherever the device lets its log be read. Where it will not, marking on a phone covers the same ground, and you can replace the hardware later rather than first.
Do parents get told when a child arrives late?
Late arrival is recorded separately from absence, and you choose whether it alerts parents or stays inside the school.
Who can change a mark once it has been saved?
Only the staff you give that permission to. Every change keeps the earlier value, the name of whoever made it and the time, so a disputed record can be settled by looking.
