Common questions
Can the hostel run for a school the platform does not otherwise manage?
It can, but it is worth less that way. The value is a boarder having one record — attendance, results, fees, leave-outs — rather than a hostel register sitting beside a school register.
How does a parent hear about a leave-out?
The request, the warden’s approval, the time the child left and the time they returned all reach the parent app, so nobody is depending on a telephone call being made.
Are mess charges fixed, or taken from attendance?
Either. A school can charge a flat mess fee per term or bill from mess attendance, and the charge reaches the same fee bill whichever way it is set.
What does the warden see when somebody is missing at roll call?
